Was going through the online news when I spotted something interesting.
First joint commitment by 58 countries to end use of child soldiers
Fifty-eight countries have agreed to take action to protect children from being recruited as soldiers in wars, joining for the first time an effort that had been largely confined to NGOs.
The 58 countries that signed up to the so-called Paris commitments at the end of a two-day conference included 10 of the 12 nations where an estimated 250,000 children bear arms.

Another one of the world's tries to save itself from a problem that has been obvious for many years.
I mean, look back in time, UN's call for peace, Peace in Sri Lanka, Protect the Ozone layer and Prevent global warming... All these calls for help has been given decades ago, and the situation has not been improving at all has it?
The civil war between the LTTE(Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) and the Sri Lankian Government, the US's refusal to sign the Kyoto Protocol, China's admitance of a failure in ecology conservation...
Such a joke that they still believe that the people still has faith in the success of another one of their "foolproof" plans to change the world and improve it.
I mean, the LTTE has been recruiting children to participate in their terriorist acts since 1970. The al-jihad movement has also taken in its own share of kids and so has the Guerrillas. NOW, after so many years, a JOINT COMMITMENT(nice choice of words) is made to end it.
To end something that has continuously happened for the past 30 years... When this succeeds, we'll most proberly be fertilizing daffodils already.
