Bah, today is Founder's Day for the ACS family schools, a.k.a. Speech Day, a.k.a. Sleep-Deprivation Therapy. Basically I was just a Thanksgiving Service cum Prize presentation Ceremony... I got caught for sleeping once through the whole thing lols.
kk. Let me just highlight thestupid important stuff that happened.
I assume that you'all know Mdm Chan Hee Lee is my form teacher. She's the prefect model of the perfect grandmother... One that cares about you and nags in order to get her wishes done. And yes, she looks 40+.
Dr Vivian Balakrishnan (Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, andSecond Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts) was the Guest of Honour and an old boy of the school(ACSI) back about 30 years ago. Then he moved to National Junior College to pursue his JC education.
Well, Mdm Chan was teaching in NJC back then.
Thus we see that they met, well nothing incredible right? I mean Singapore a "Small little red dot".
Until...
I quote: "There is a Mdm Chan Hee Lee here right? Although I've heard that she has changed her name to Mdm Chia... I do remember her! She was a crush for many boys back in my time."
That's the cue to go ZOMGOSHWTFBBQ.
Ok, that aside, we decided to honour Mdm Chan when she was awarded a prize for 30 Years of service to ACJC. So me, Clement, Xiong Kai, Deyong and Sharath had a standing ovation for her Lols. I think she didn't notice though, we were too hum and sat soon after. =X.
The last incident would be of course the singing of hymns. Well, I have to really respect the chaplains and Reverent for their spirited singings... They were REALLY REALLY 'into' it.
Though I must say that this incident shows that the ability to sing is not a essential criteria for the profession. I mean... how could it actually sound like a opera singer gone way too high pitch? It was seriously a bit over the edge.
And I quote from James: "Life is not without a touch of irony." Directly after the last hymn, when the Guests were ushered out of the hall and into the reception area... The band started playing some background music.
Lo and Behold. The Phantom of the Opera.
Life is not without a touch of irony alright.
Ok during the service itself, I had an appointment with Clement to go play bowling at CSC and asked around for people to tag along... In the end, the list was: Me, Clement, Derek, Jeanny, Xiong Kai and Huang Zhi... The first 4 went to bowl while the latter 2 went to the LAN center and had a game of DoTA.
To shorten the happenings of the match.
1) Derek the gay got a 202.SCREW YOUR 4-RAGGER!!!
2) Managed to get my curl back to a decent standard and settled with 139
3) Jeanny got 0 all the way until the 7th frame with 4 pinfalls during the 3rd game. Lols, first timer actually nt bad liao lah =D.
4) Clement. Pwned me with 6 pound balls.... Knn. Lols.
Ok, after the games, we went to the pools for 1 hour. Clement and Xiong Kai, being once again gays, decided to pwn me, Huang Zhi and Derek.
WE GOT PWNED. Ok, that's the perfect summary for the pool session. Lols.
Got back home, played a bit of O2jam, did this post. Maybe I'll finish up chinese then sleep.
Till the next post! =D
