Hmm, just managed to finish the 3 hours chinese paper. Horrible. Then again, let me START all the way from GP since I dun wanna start mugging physics =X.
First. GP.
Ok for this time, the GP paper was a single comprehension passage with 2 passages about entertainment and whether it is brainwashing or nourishing.
While you think that the ACJC teachers would be kind enough to moralise the troops with an easy first question...
*Plays corny Wrong! music in gameshows* Wrong! They asked, why is the popular culture described as "masquerading the cinema"?
Holy S***, a 12 letter word in the first question LOLS. (Ok lah, it just means acting, but the question still difficult T_T) (O btw, did I mention someone who read cinema as camera? LOLS.)
Actually, the questions did get easier from there, and thus I believe that passing shouldn't be a problem for this paper lah. Hopefully a nice looking pass, but for now, let me just keep my fingers crossed eh?
Anyways, another interesting thing is that the paper did not have any irony, paradox or metaphor questions. Really came as quite a shock. Haiz, shouldn't have spent time to mug those the day before.
After the paper, was a 3 hours break. Within that break, I went off to collect my Mathematics File to mug through that day. When I saw my file, all the papers are out from the file already, scattered everywhere inside the box. And when I checked, I discover that 1 piece of notes is missing(Yah, wrong info `ris, Laurel and Shi Yi, I found the binomial notes). While its stated that it was checked to be there in the file, the Lecture notes on functions is nowhere to be found.
When to Mr. Lim and got another copy... Hopefully I dun bother him too much lah Lols. It seems that I'm the most troublesome student this Semester to him, with job offers and missing notes LOLs. Sry! T_T.
PS. We all know someone took it lah. Its quite obvious actually. Comon, at least have the courtesy to leave the papers properly next time? Thx.
*Plays another dramatic piece of music in the background* Chemistry Paper! The chem paper was... Horror. At the start of the paper, I took my own sweet time to answer the first few questions. It took me 30 mins to answer Qn 1 of section B, after writing 2 essays to get 2 marks each. And with the 1 hour left, I had to literally rush through the whole of the MCQ, last few parts of section B and the whole of section C. I got my Maxwell-Boltzman Curve wrong due to time trouble in the end, haiz, nvm.
Actually, overall, I think C is there lah. But hopefully I can get a high B? As long as I dun have too much mistakes from everywhere else I guess. So that's that. For that day of exams.
At home, after being on the comp until 8pm, I started to study econs for the next day. And whadyaknow, I fell asleep directly after starting and slept to 6am. Well, can't say it wasn't a good nap =P.
Tuesday, the Economics Paper. 1 hour 30 mins paper, with one question of DRQ coupled by an essay question.
DRQ was some old newspaper articles about gaming consoles and their sales. Here's the updated information. NINTENDO's Wii IS 1337 PWN1NG T3H S0NY AND M1CR0S0FT Y34H!.
Translation: Nintendo's Wii is currently doing a lot better than Microsoft and Sony. Pwning the both of them. Ha. Magic sticks for the win.
The essay on the other hand(I did question 1) was about office spaces in the CBD.
Well, can't really say I did well, considering I crapped my way through the whole essay and DRQ. HOPEFULLY a pass. Just a pass. I need the morale boost. LOL.
Next was a 2 hours break before the Mathematics paper, when I started mugging Mathematics for the exams. Cool. Lols. At that point I WAS actually damn worried for my Maths. Its the only subject I could bank on, so... Good luck? Lols.
Maths exam. Thank You. I THINK I MAY just be ABLE to get the elusive A for this paper. Already got 3 marks gone already, but still not too bad =D.
But still, the maths paper turned out to be quite an interesting paper. It was focusing a lot on problem solving skills rather than memory work on the equations and laws. The appearance of Question 2 in a damn obvious sign. (Which btw, the answer is n) Its actually all thinking questions, which kinda stunned me cause the one last year was much more memory work.
Then went home, prepared for Chinese(a.k.a Read textbookand pray. =X) .
Today, the Chinese 3 hour exams.
1 word. Nuts.
The format of the paper is that everybody starts with the Composition paper for the first 1.5 hours and the use of the dictionary is allowed within the time. After the 1.5 hour mark, the use of the dictionary is now prohibited and the dictionary itself is to be left on the floor. And the comprehension paper is distributed to us. Our composition paper would still be with us though, so we can edit it within the leftover time anytime, as long as the dictionary is not touched.
That means the exams lasts up to 3.5 hours, including the distribution and collection of scripts.
Have you ever tried to sit down and not move for a long time? You get DAMN restless.
At 1 hour, I was tired, but I continued to finish up my essay within the timeframe of 1.5 hours, so that I could concentrate the rest of the time on the comprehension.
At 2 hours, I am sleepy. And the mass of words from the 3 comprehension passages are starting to seem like nothing but a blur to me. Argh, also my muscles start to ask for a stretch. You know, its just that urge to just stand up and jump around like a insane manic to work up the muscles.
However, stretching in an examination isn't exactly something you would want to do. As you stretch your body in the exam, you WILL be the only one doing so. The teachers will then all STARE at you, and MAKING SURE that you dun get to cheat.
What a disgusting feeling LOL. Eyes all with their sight on you, scrutinising your every move. Z. It sucks lah.
I managed to finish the last question of the comprehension just on time before the end of the paper. You should have seen me as we walked out of the Badminton Hall. Betcha nv seen a fat boy stretch that many times within the minute. LOL.
kk and now after the exams, I've reached home, and wrote this 1170 words long blog post to stall my torture of H2 Physics. LOLs.
Hmmm, I better go off and do something liao. Cyas =D
