We live in a funny world

Erm, in case no one noticed, Live Earth is upon us, on the 7/7/07. While today its actually 8/7/07, its still the previous day in the US and concerts are still taking place in New York at this very moment I'm typing this message.

Now to justify this post's title, allow me to show you a picture of the Giants Stadium, New Jersey in the USA, where the New Jersey concert took place.

Now let us ignore Keith Urban performing and look at the background. (Girls... Concentrate! LOLSs)

Notice those round round things behind? Well, everyone of them is a LED lightbulb. Meaning a 'lightbulb' made from many many LEDs, much like the traffic lights on the roads of Singapore now.

Ok, every one of the 'lightbulbs' has about 30+ LEDs. and the New York site had about 50 * 8 = 400 lightbulbs. Every LED uses about 1 W of energy.

You do the math. Btw, this is only 1 form of lighting there, and honestly, it just looks good. Comon, the ppl are there for the singers, need you really waste that much energy on the decorations?

Live Earth, heed the call?
