(Before starting to read, Hi. Now, everything below is but merely my own view on the issue, as titled above. If you dun understand and give a shit about it, just don't hesitate to ask. If you understand, and think its utter and complete hogwash, go along and treat it as a pile of verbal diarrhoea. I'm sure that I don't have you lead your mouse over to the "Back" button nor the big red "X" at both top corners of the screen.)
What is the meaning of life? That title itself, really, is looking for trouble already. Seriously, only the STUPID, will ever talk about this title. Its not really because of moral issues, nor really the problem of giving an idiotic answer. But simply because there's a flaw within the question itself.
So is there an answer to that question? In short. No. In long,
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Coming back of course, why not? Simply because its a stupid question. Figure it out yourself. Otherwise gimme an answer to that particular question. And before you claim you have the great answer to this question, don't try to shout it out yet! Or read on, and you'll see why.
..
So if I claim that that is a unanswerable statement, of course, a correction must be made, and not just allow the statement to be left alone and rot in the hells of philosophy right? (Not that it shouldn't be there. Infidel question.)
The problem with the original question, is that its a shameless attempt of stereotyping the people of the world. The meaning of life. Everyone, should be having this, irregardless of our backgrounds, our languages, or the colour of our turds. Now, questions, when asked, should always be seen from the most basic scale. Obviously, the whole problem came about because people EXAGGERATE. Its not about me! Its about the whole damned world!
So let's be self-centered for once. What is the meaning of your life? (Oops, does this question fit all the answers you gave above as well? I think so.) Don't be thinking about crazy, sophisticated ideas, strip them down to their bones, and just tell me what you want in your life.
"To realize one's potential and ideals" = I want to be No. 1.
"To do good, to do the right thing" = I wanna be good boy.
"To love, to feel, to enjoy the act of living" = I want sex. =X
"Life has no meaning" = ... Good luck to you emoboy.
Ok whatever it is, I'm pretty sure everyone has their own ideals of how they want their lives to be. Most here may actually claim that they have no idea at all. That they are still walking on this fence with more than 1/0 sides and still have no idea where they are heading.
Here's something you might not have known. I believe that ever since you could think for yourself. When you have the freedom to think and act for yourself. What you want to be doing. What you wishing to be doing in the future, would have been carrying you all the way to here today.
I'm not talking about actual plans, to join XXX University, and perhaps get First Honours in Sex Therapy. Not specific plans for the future. But present and past actions. Helping the people around you, the heartwrenching feeling within you when you fail a test, that feeling of joy to teach another process of electrophilic substitution. Look back and think, how much have you done? Realize that your daily actions has already told your own meaning of life way before you even thought of it.
Now, some of you might then come to me and just whine about it all. "HUH? That's it?! My meaning of life is so pathetic?! Shit its just what I want to do?!"
Here's my answer. Start thinking people. For one I know Brain(Pinky and the Brain) wanted to take over the world. So, what's the limits of your own wants in this life? I'm pretty sure Putin wanted to change the world, and George Bush wanted humans and fish to coexist peacefully. Its all a person's meaning of life. What we want. The issue of getting it, is something else altogether. Don't confuse the two. You might not necessary get what you want all the time. That's why life sucks, and its already the reason why meaning of our lives change.
For those purists who now claim. "How can our meanings of life change! Its so sacred!"
Well, I hope that you guys are still not hoping to be bitten by a spider and learn to stick to walls upside down.
Our targets in life change. When we first set a target, we're not expected to reach it. If you reach your target on an issue on the first try, you ain't targeting high enough. You're just a wussy afraid of failure. We are expected to miss our targets all the time. Such to me, really is the beauty, of the meaning of life. Simply because we never get it. And thus, we'll never stop, to push, and reach for it as much as we can.
So... Don't bother deciding on the meaning of life, look for it in yourself. Assess it daily, and always reach out for it as far as possible. Embrace that part of the human spirit within you.
..
As an afternote, this is just my view. I hope that in no way does this become your view. Please read it critically. And make it your own. With your own ideas in life, with your own views in life. I really would be more heartened if you disagree rather than accept every word typed here.
But don't try to correct me. Cause these are my views, and if I wasn't sure of my words, they won't be there. Go on and point out a contradiction and really attempt to tear my logic down, but don't tell me about it ok? =X
..
PPS. This is here because the Facebook Notes function SUCKS. I have one more written long ago. Shall put here soon.
