26 Dec.
Woke up in the morning INTENDING to run. Never did though, the bed was too alluring. FAR too alluring. Met with Adelene in the morning to go to Isabel's house. She was collecting a container from Isabel and I had to pass her her Christmas present before meeting Isabel later, so we just met and went together lor.
Took the train to Jurong East and went off the platform and into the main lobby only to find out that Isabel was waiting for us on the platform. Wasted 90 cents just like that. Lols.
Adelene took the next train back to CCK and Isabel and I moved to City Hall and towards the Singapore flyer. Walked around aimlessly lost for a while then found the bus to the Suntec before a short walk to the flyer. The flyer itself was incredibly quiet, even more so after it stopped working a few days ago. Its like, only about 20 people in the whole compound. I really pitied the shops that were open around the area.
Tried eating at Popeye's the first time. It was just a better KFC I guess. Much better though, but expect to spend about only a dollar more. Much worth it.
Ate and took many many pictures are the flyer. Then moved on to Food for Thought at North Bridge Road, only to realize that it was still closed after the Christmas Holidays. So we just took a detour into the Mint Toy Museum in the area.
Oh, and Isabel bought a polka-dotted pouch at Raffles Link while walking there too. =D
Now the museum really looked more like a cafe from the outside than a museum. Most people would have just missed it easily. However, the place really is a gem, especially for someone like me, where I've actually been in contact with some of the characters that were shown then, at least during my time. Some like Tintin, and Felix the Cat, were not exactly very popular in the generation after mine. Just that little bit of nostalgia mixed with awe at the sheer amount of toys that were located at the place.
James then met us outside the museum after we finished, and we took a bus to Haji Lane. Saw a costume shop and Isabel went to ask about doraemon and gorilla suits. Apparently they only have the second one for rent at $100 for 3 days. Ridiculously expensive. Then walked about Haji Lane, and by then everyone were just tired, so we went back to CCK.
Met up with XJ for dinner, and ate at subway. XJ then suggested some after dinner activities, so we met up with Dong Wei and went to watch Bedtime Stories at the Cinemas. Once again, I'm not surprised to be bombarded with slapstick humour like every other Adam Sandler movies out there. Still, there were good laughs in most part of the movies. Worth a watch.
Came back, typed this post, intending to spend tmr to check up my brother's computer LAN connection.
Signing off.
