When early in the morning to support Derek at the Science Buskers Festival. Most teams were rather humourous in their portrayal of science and the funny things about it. Some succeeded, most did not. Sad to say, that most of the performances were actually very hard to watch. I borrowed and played Dong Wei's Tap Tap Revenge just to get my attention of some of the acts that were blatantly screwing up, yet not doing anything about it, and even amplifying the issue by hovering over it for too long a period of time. Though, the pure point that they only had one week to prepare for a 5 minutes performance, is a good reason for the problems. Only the slackers waiting for NS like us have the time in this weekend to prepare the script, props and everything, unlike the kids in their respective primary and secondary school, as well as the teachers.

The videos were very tastefully made, and received frequent cheers from the crowd as their team appeared in them. Yet, the videos to introduce the different teams did irk me a bit with the same animations and everything, but there's really nothing to complain about that. It was the correct way to do things.

Atmosphere, was great. Perhaps mostly because of the setting and the crowd.

The only thing that topped that was the food. Yes, the catering was incredible godlike despite the point that it was catering. Incredible, I never expected good catered food to ever exist. That is, until Dong Wei told me the catering at his Astronomy Olympiad had a chocolate Fondue.

Anyways, the team got the 2nd prize and best teamwork award. So that's $650 and a one year contract with the science center. The group of us then when down for a L4D/TF2 session at West Coast Recreational Center. Discovered that I'm really getting sick of gaming altogether. Perhaps I'll be walking in Derek's footsteps soon.

Irregardless of that, while the rest of the gang left for home, I went to play a bit of billards while my family came down to fetch me for dinner. Ate at Sushi Tei at West Coast Plaza, which remains as quiet as Ginza despite the complete makeover and publicity campaigns. And I bought a coffee from Starbucks before going home.

Specifically, I asked for Mocca Frap with less milk but more whipped cream, but I never expected this.

The cream towered over the whole cup and was as high as it before I took this photo, after a few bites of course. The ladies at the counter and myself did have a good laugh over it though. She even asked if I wanted her to cap it with the plastic cover or have chocolate syrup over it. Lols.
