15 Mar.
Stayed at home the whole day and finished up with my newspaper stack. Which reminds me that I have a stack myself at home now, due to the unavailability of it during the chalet and stayover. Nevertheless, should get it all read up soon.

16 Mar.
Went to help out Derek at Science Center yet again. List of small experiments, really nothing much to be talking about.

Met up with Adelene later in the afternoon to collect Jen Hui's Bridge notes, and her Chemistry and Ionic Equilibrium notes. Needed the former cause mine is probably still with Shaun, and the latter because I was hired to teach the BP Science Quiz Team that Friday, and my notes were still left with Daniel at Yio Chu Kang. Took a walk and talked for quite a long while at Lam Soon CC, coming back to think about it, its quite funny that we ended up talking there rather than somewhere near we were going. I should get the bridge tests prepared soon.

17 Mar.
Met up with Xin Jie and Derek at BP, picked up some equipment for them for their Mersing trip that incidentally started today. Tents, binoculars and such. Took the bus to Lot 1 and ate at Long John's before heading into FairPrice, buying drinks and chips for the chalet. Then took a ride from Derek down to Pasir Ris Home Team NS Chalet.

The place is ridiculously big actually, with 4 bedrooms upstairs, and a living room for the first floor. Air-Con was installed in almost every room, and even though the place itself is quite ulu, the size and air con pretty much made up for it all.

Soccered in the afternoon, and then Wii into the night. Some Chinese Chess with Xin Jie etc. While the rest of the group went out night cycling, only me, Xin Jie and Edwin was left in the chalet, and Xin Jie and Edwin went together to sleep in one of the bedrooms and I didn't dare to sleep solo in the room. I swear, its that fucking scary. I got the creeps even when trying to catch a wink in the living room when I moved down, not much of a sleep that night, perhaps an hour or so.

18 Mar.
Took another lift from Derek's Dad back down to Choa Chu Kang, where I bathed quickly and rushed back down to ACJC for their bridge training for that day. Went, taught a bit, and went down to Isabel's house for a stayover. Was pretty much shagged by then already.

Taught a bit, talked to Greta a bit, and left for Isabel's house soon after. Met her at Fairprice at Jurong while we got some stuff for the stayover. Bought some chips, pasta, ham, soya bean, yakult etc. Carried them up to her house and prepared the food while James and Vanessa arrived. The egg mayo she made came out rather good actually, she was surprised herself =X.

Nevertheless, dinner was good in my opinion, perhaps imbued with the satisfaction of making them ourselves, though I think we did create quite a lot of trouble for her mother in cleaning up and everything. Thanks Auntie!

Bathed after dinner, and headed down to the mahjong table after finishing Ninja Warriors on Channel 5. Finished up to the West Wind before James just couldn't take it anymore. Who's to blame, it was 1am already then. Even Vanessa was getting tired herself. Proceeded to push the table aside, and watched a little bit more shows on Isabel's computer before finally lights out.

Isabel really got rather high in the dark. Lols, torturing James which was sleeping on the floor beside her bed. Perhaps I was lucky to have been sleeping on her chair and thus a distance away. God knows what she might have done to me in my sleep. Lol.

Finally got around to sleep about an hour later, my body just couldn't handle it much longer. 2 days without much sleep isn't really something good to try.

19 Mar.
Woke up fairly groggy in the morning. Didn't really have the amount of sleep that my body needed. Brushed and prepared to go out for lunch. Took a bus to Jurong Point and finally decided on eating at Swensen's after some long discussions. Service was horrible though, in my opinion, but at the price that we were getting from the offers, I'm not really complaining actually. Ice Cream, soup, Drink and a main course at $11. How often do you get that?

Took the train back home, and finally got some good sleep in the afternoon. Woke up later in the day, as my family went out to celebrate my dad's birthday. Mom was treating, and my dad was bent on ripping her off, so went to the Old Turf Club for dinner. Quite a decent bill at $175 in the end actually, could have been much worse.

20 Mar.
Once again, slept too late and woke up too early. Had to this time; Was supposed to be teaching Chemical and Ionic Equilibria to the Science Quiz Team in BP for preparation for their VJC Competition. Didn't really think I did a good job today, will call the teacher in charge and offer to clear up anything left for free, want to ensure that they do understand whatever that was going down.

Went out later in the afternoon for badminton with Huaice, Ong and Ying Zi. Was quite good to work the muscles, but was still feeling rather sore from Wii-ing back in the chalet. Went over to Huaice's house later in the afternoon after the game and talked for a bit before heading on home.

I should really try to sleep early today, and wake up to catch up with newspapers tomorrow.

In other news, I have finally received a reply from PSC at last.

Hi Kok Hong

As you did not obtain straight "A"s for all your subjects, we are unable to seek placement for you at Cambridge/Oxford.

We will be seeking placement for you at Imperial College, which is well-ranked for Mathematics, upon your acceptance of our award.

We look forward to receiving your letter of acceptance together with a certified true copy each of the following, as soon as possible:

1) "O" level certificate
2) "A" level result slip (and certificate when available)
3) Testimonials and CCAs records from Bukit Panjang Govt High School and ACJC

In the event that Imperial rejects your application, we will write to UCL. Should both Imperial and UCL reject the application (which is quite unlikely), we will consider conversion of your award to LOMS (T).

Regards,
Ham Chye

Well, I really shouldn't be complaining, I'm blessed to have been able to receive such a prestigious scholarship without even 4As in H2s. I'm glad. But I really hope its the right decision to accept the scholarship. 4 years in another country is no joke.
