Fun-o-Rama Games Stall and the Interesting Mentor

Had quite a row over at the Project Work room when I was telling Mr. Lee Thean Hoe(I Hope its the right name >.<) about the Games Stall for Fun-O-Rama. Having all my resources denied, cancelled and reduced in front of me wasn't the best way to start a working relationship going.

Anyways, I shut up as I saw the number of chairs go from 6 to 0, number of tables go from 5 to 4, and the denial of a water supply. But then, I have to say that Sir, you took it a little to far to deny us of audience participation.

First, background information. My class's game is basically allowing the "clients" to fill up a 500ml water bottle with as much water as wanted, and throwing it though holes with different difficulties.

The prize will vary with the amount of water used and the difficulty of the hole that it passed though.

I understand Sir, that your main concern is of the "clients" getting wet, that we will personally ensure will not happen by placing a man with the water basin at all times.

However, to suggest ready made bottle really will kill off the whole game as the act of filling up the water bottle is actually part of the whole 'carnival game' experience itself. I cannot possibly just let them pick bottles to just throw, there is no differenciation between that and other throwing games at all!

Also, I can't imagine "clients" taking 3 mins to fill up a bottle when it only takes 20 secs at the water cooler.

Zzz At least I got to keep the idea! (=

..

Today was also the SIM meeting, with new additions into the team =D. Really, today was nothing much but just admin matters to settle and the delegation of mentors to everybody.

And my mentor?

Mr. Kunasegaran Kulandaivelu.
