Went out in the morning to a Christmas Service at Woodlands Evangelical Free Church. Adelene's parents came along and picked me up at about 9.15am and her brother, Daniel, drove us to the church. Spoke with him a bit about NS and what to expect and such, but didn't really have much more information than i already had. The church did seem rather big upon arrival. It was only the second time I've ever entered a church, first being Charis' confirmation, not taking into account all those chapel sessions in school of course.
The church was unexpectedly packed, and everybody was streaming into the large hall. Gosh, the place was bigger than LT4 in ACJC. Really huge. Daniel left us for something else at this time, and I just talked with Adelene a bit more while waiting for the service to start. Read the pamphlet that was given out as well.
The service started out like every other ACJC chapel, and the singing continued. Was surprised to her a lot of noticable tunes. Mostly were Christmas Carols of course, with a bit more of those from AC. The atmosphere on the other hand wasn't really much different from AC actually, which rather surprised me as I thought it would get much 'higher'. The band was ridiculously good though, so was the choir.
The service then proceeded to a short introduction of the play that was coming up. Which did talk about a rather interesting idea. The presentation seemed rather disjointed to me, but the main ideas were that the current world is screwing us up with consumerism, competition and dissatisfaction. The first one was shown in a video that was taking a leaf from documentaries. The second part was shown in a play. A solo woman's day and everything. Everybody snickered upon the mention of Facebook though, which I found amusing. The last part was shown in the most lame play that I've ever seen to date. The script writer is a genius. Never have I seen that much bear jokes stuffed into a play. (Unbearable, Bearish stock market, bear with me etc.) Got me laughing quite a bit.
This was then followed with a rather long sermon which made sense back then, but to speak the truth, I had forgotten everything. Before anyone accuses me of snoozing off, I didn't. I just can't remember.
Followed off by a short singing session again, and it was the end. There was a luncheon that was happening at the ground floor of the church. I already had a heavy breakfast early in the morning with my father, so I decided to decline the lunch, and yet the whole family decided that they would too, and just grabbed some pastries and left the compound, despite my objections. Till now I still feel bad about it. Lols.
Anyways, I was then fetched home by her father this time, and they drove off to a short trip to Malaysia I believe.
Stayed at home and continued working on the presents before dinner with the family at night. Went off to Jurong Point to eat, specifically, Billy Bombers. But because we had some errands to run beforehand, it was already 9pm by the time we reached. The food was extremely large in portion. Gosh, it's really one person per main course. Without the appetizers. The price on the other hand was really quite overboard as well. But I guess it was okay looking from the portion that was given to us. The coffee on the other hand was just bad. Perhaps close to horrible. It wasn't coffee. It was probably just 1 step away from plain water.

Went out with my mother in the morning to pay some bills, eat lunch and get my brother a new game for his computer. For everyone out there who loves the Swedish, yes, I tried to convince him, but he wouldn't listen. Ended up buying the Medal of Honour 10th Anniversary Collection.
Went back and played a bit of Team Fortress 2 until it was time to leave for the Christmas Game at SCBA. Reached at about 7pm for the dinner. Helped out with cutting the roast beef before grabbing some of the food myself. With turkey, ham, fried rice, roast beef, and lots of other stuff, really a nice spread at the table. Talked to Mr Wong a bit as well, haven't had a nice chat with him for quite a while already.
The game was okay, turned out 7th overall out of 23, which was rather decent. During the random gifts selection, managed to get a nice bag after taking the 7 of clubs. Its like a small school bag without the shoulder sling.
Quite a satisfying day.
